Shirin Neshat

Shirin Neshat, born 1957, is an Iranian contemporary artist. She is 1 of 5 children with wealthy parents. She was brought up Muslim.
She was deemed the artist of the decade. She was married to Kyong Park, but divorced- and is now with Shoja Azar. Her pictures show the strength of women and combats the stereotypes. The writing on the faces and hands are Persian poetry. Farsi poetry. 
 What i'll need to do;
-either write the poems on myself, or edit them on in photoshop later.
-in black and white, or vintage yellowy/brown
-makeup wipes (if i write instead of editing)
-bangles of sorts? (3rd pic down)

Unions Postpone Strike Who was striking?            -The Amalgamated Engineering and `Foundry Workers' Union. -Labour government were more lenient in terms of striking.  A Conservative government would be more strict and put protesters in prison. -This cover shows that people were now beginning to stand up for their rights, where women's rights were at the forefront of priority. -The 60s were a time of women standing up for themselves, for equal rights, for equal pay etc. After -WW1 and WW2, women were more commonly seen in the workplace, equal to men (however they did not have equal pay, which still continues today) The 60s was a time for protesting for peace.
