With the rise of the Insta-generation, the insatiable desire for a partner to post #couplegoals pics with is skyrocketing, leaving teenage girls across the world feeling as though a significant other is a necessity to be happy. It took me discovering myself and my self-worth, for me to realise that there's more to me than what I can provide for a man. I realised the importance of loving yourself before you love somebody else.

USES & GRATIFICATIONS THEORY Uses and Gratifications theory as developed by Blulmer and Katz suggests that media users play an active role in choosing and using the media. Blulmer and Katz believed that the user seeks out the media source that best fulfils their needs. The uses and gratifications theory assumes the audience chooses what it wants to watch for five different reasons. Information and Education – the viewer wants to acquire information, knowledge and understanding by watching programmes like The News or Documentaries.
